SkillSteps ("the App") is a mobile application designed to help neurodivergent children build social, communication, and daily living skills. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information the App collects and how it is used.
We do not collect personal information. All data you create in the App — including your name, emotion check-ins, custom stories, and routine progress — is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
SkillSteps is designed for use by children, including children under 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international regulations.
The App may request access to your device's camera or photo library to allow you to personalise social stories with your own images. Photos selected or captured are stored only on your device and are never uploaded or shared.
The App uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine to read content aloud. All speech processing happens on your device. No audio data is sent to external servers.
The App offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock premium content. All payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.
The App uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchase verification. RevenueCat receives only an anonymous app user identifier to validate your purchase status. No personal information is shared. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
All user-created content is stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, all locally stored data will be removed. We recommend backing up your device regularly if you wish to preserve your data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
